An adequate supply of vitamins is important for the maintenance of many metabolic processes and our physical and mental performance. Vitamins should, however, not be taken indiscriminately. It is important that the single vitamins and their quantities are precisely balanced. This ensures that all vitamins can jointly perform their tasks in the body.

To date, 13 different vitamins are known and these are basically divided into water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins. Fat-soluble vitamins are the vitamins A, D, E and K. The B vitamins (B1, B2, B6, B12), biotin, folic acid, pantothenic acid, niacin und vitamin C belong to the water-soluble vitamins.
