Cartilage is a flexible and elastic connective tissue in the joints. Its special mechanical properties absorb shocks while ensuring proper joint function.

Cartilage is composed of many structural molecules such as type II collagen.

Over time, cartilage wear can lead to joint problems and discomfort that can hinder your mobility. In some cases, this may be caused by an immune response against your own type II collagen. Numerous studies have shown that native collagen plays an essential role in supporting the joints2-6.

After detecting the intact structure of collagen in the gut, immune cells located in the "Peyer's patches"7-9 can migrate to the joints and are able to attenuate the immune system's attack on the collagen in the cartilage10. This process of desensitisation is also called oral tolerance10.

The type II collagen present in NC2 is obtained through a unique low-temperature process that preserves its original structure, which is essential to its effectiveness.
