Not sure where to begin? Read on to discover our baby care recommendations and address cleansing and skincare like a pro!
1. Cleansing
When it comes to cleansing, choosing a gentle formula that not only effectively cleans your baby’s skin but also doesn’t dry it out is crucial. To avoid any irritations, look for pH neutral washes that are free of harsh agents like alcohol, parabens, and sulfates.
Make sure to use lukewarm water and that the temperature of the room you’re bathing your baby in is warm. Secure them while in the water and never leave a baby unattended in the bath. Then, gently wash their body and hair with a soft washcloth with water and your preferred cleanser. Rinse thoroughly and gently pat your little one dry with a soft towel.

2. Moisturizing
Babies’ skin is still not well-adapted to the environment outside of the womb, especially in the first weeks after birth, which can make it easier to dry out. Soothing dry skin and protecting it against future aggressions will make your baby more comfortable, but it’s important to choose a gentle moisturizer free of synthetic fragrances and dyes to avoid further irritating the skin.
Apply your baby’s moisturizer on dry, clean skin up to two times per day with a gentle massage until fully absorbed. It is also recommended to perform a light massage with a delicate oil to promote better sleep and bonding through skin-to-skin contact.

3. Diaper & Change Care
Since infant skin is prone to irritation, it’s imperative to avoid diaper rash and other discomforts before they happen. This can be done by changing your little one’s diaper often, keeping the area clean with a very gentle cleansing water and/or wipes, and pre-emptively applying change cream to soothe the skin and strengthen its barrier against aggressions.
Thoroughly cleanse the area without rubbing the skin too much, pat dry, and apply an even layer of change cream to areas prone to diaper rash and chafing.
